Meals Of Joy

Here’s how it works . . .

This Program is for people 55 years of age and over in individual homes, apartments, or RV parks.

People who live in independent, assisted living or memory care facilities generally have access to meals where they live, so they are not included in this program.

The service area is Surprise, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Sun City, Sun City West, Avondale, parts of Peoria and Buckeye. There is not a volunteer to deliver to Festival, but meals can be delivered to the church and individuals can make arrangement to have them picked up.

Let the church office 623-977-6000 or Deborah Frusciano 602-909-8369 know if you are interested in this program before you go to the hospital, are seriously ill at home or have a death in the family. Two days’ notice is needed to set up the delivery. Deborah or another volunteer will contact you to set up the service and complete the necessary paperwork with your selection of food.

Spirit of Grace will cover the cost of 1 meal a day for 3 days for the individual and spouse if applicable. After the 3 days individuals may set up their own accounts with Meals of Joy to continue service if they desire. Complete meals are $9.00-$13.00.

Meals are delivered by volunteers of the Meals of Joy program and all volunteers are background checked.

Meals are delivered to the porch or will place in the home if individuals are not able to retrieve from the porch. Meals are delivered Monday-Friday.

There is a monthly menu with a wide variety to choose from. For information about Meals of Joy and view the menus, go to their website.
